Floral Preservation Deposit
By placing the deposit order you are agreeing to the terms below.
Communication
When we contact the client about final decisions on the frame, size, layout, style, payment, etc., we ask for a 24-72 hour turnaround time with a response or acknowledgment you received our email or text.
Shipping/Drop-off
I understand that I am responsible for the shipping or drop off of flowers to Upland Creative. I understand that if I send any glass vases, pendants, charms, ribbons, or other items that may be used to hold/decorate my flower stems they will not be returned to me. I need to remove these from my bouquet prior to shipping or drop-off if I would like to keep them.
Condition
I understand that flowers will be pressed in the condition they are received, meaning if flowers arrive bruised or damaged, the same is likely to show in the final piece.
Fading Disclaimer. PLEASE READ
I understand that the color of my flowers will fade. Some colors will hold up better than others. I, the client, also understand that your original flower color can change while in the press. Each flower and its variants can change in color as the flower is going from living to dying and the exact color of what a flower is when it enters the press and when it comes out can be different. We have seen this happen with reds, purples, oranges, and some pinks, but each flower is different. Some red flowers stay red, and some change to dark purple.
Layout and Design Disclaimer. PLEASE READ
We will use our professional judgment on what should be included in your final piece, how much white space will be in your piece, and the overall look. We will design a mockup and send it to you. Please remember a mockup is just that and your final piece will not look entirely like the approved mockup. Things shift and things get added when we glue and the final piece will always be more refined and fluid than the mockup. A mockup is to show you a general layout of the flowers and for you to see the colors. Please do not expect a fully finished piece when we send you the mockup.
Care of Final Piece Disclaimer. PLEASE READ
I understand it is important to keep my frame out of direct sunlight (hang your piece up where there is no rolling sun on it), away from excessive heat and humid conditions, and to handle the frame with care. Do not hang it in bathrooms, above a stove, or a fireplace.
Shipping the Final Art Piece Disclaimer. PLEASE READ
(this may not apply to you) I understand that these are very delicate pieces to ship. We glue down all the flowers as best as we (different gluing techniques for different flowers), but these pieces will inevitably get knocked around during shipping, and debris, or petals, may fall loose. Some debris may fall to the bottom of the frame. Debris falling off will probably occur over time anyways as seeds and other bits will eventually detach themselves, which is completely normal as the piece is organic matter. If you don't like the organic look of having debris at the bottom of the frame, you can take it to a frame shop, and have them detach the spacers to open it up in order to remove the organic debris that may have shifted during shipping. Some debris may fall off and may get stuck to the glass as well during shipping. Over some time and as the piece settles on your wall, it may just fall to the bottom.
Deposit and Time to Complete Final Piece Disclaimer. PLEASE READ *
I understand that my deposit of $100 is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due prior to us designing your piece. If you cancel 4 or more weeks before your wedding, we can fully refund your deposit. Our spots are limited and this gives us enough time to fill your spot. I understand that, depending on the time of year, my piece may take anywhere from 2-4 months to complete. We appreciate your patience.
